stop fighting

I am trying to raise enough money for a trip to Israel in January. I've had mixed reactions to this plan, ranging from "Wow, I've always wanted to go there!" to "ARE YOU INSANE?!?!?" Here's how I feel about it: the people of Israel have been fighting, unfortunately, for a LONG time with just about all of their neighbors, and often with the people who share their space. It makes me sad that people just can't make peace with each other. I'm dying to go- I want to see all these places where the early Church left it's mark, places where Jesus and his friends quite literally walked... and so I'm trusting the people from the tour company and the U.S. government to tell me if it's safe to go or not. My son was baptized with water brought from the Jordan River by our former pastor, and I'd like to stand in it for myself.

I hope I get to go. So I hope Hezbollah and Israel cool it off - not just for my sake, but for all these people caught in the crossfire. Stop fighting.

I have faith that God will lead you where you need to be. And hopefully you get some good advice from the tour company and U.S. govt., too. :) Have a good Sunday and rest of the week. -Amy
