So, either out of guilt, or of honest realization of the right thing to do, Chad called this afternoon between reading my last post and getting back on the trail in Vermont. It was nice, and he's a good fella. Walk fast, my brother!

hi! when we dropped him off in hanover, he said he was going to give you a call. i think he had been planning on it the whole time. :) i think he's ready to continue his walk and get to where he's headed. i'm not quite sure where that is exactly (after the AT is completed). i do enjoy his emails, though. it's nice to hear his perspective on life. take care!
