Oh, remember back in the day when we could watch er and actually enjoy it? Those were the good times. Oh, it was still sad and all. Like when Carter and Lucy got stabbed - I was in my college dorm (sorry, "residence hall", cause dorm sounds too "institutional" - for an academic institution) and when the show ended we all were in the hallway sobbing, like these were people we knew personally. And when Mark Green died in Hawaii, to the beautiful sounds of Over The Rainbow... oh that was just gorgeous television. Now it's all babies being abused or moms with depression, and it's all with characters I don't know anymore. Man, when Carter and that pretty girl's baby died, I thought I'd just weep forever. I was pregnant at the time and that was a gigantic mistake, watching that episode. Now even Carter is gone. (but not really, why is he on sometimes? What is that about?) In their defense, this hospital has seen so much drama happen in the last 11 years or so - they're scraping the bottom as far as human stories go. It's time for er to end, my friends. Let's say goodbye. I wish we could have a reunion show though, with Nurse Hathaway, Dr. Ross, Dr. Benton, Dr. Carter, and what was that nice girl doctor, who left and came back? What was her name? Anyway, I'd like her to come back too. And the ghost of Mark Green. That's when we know it's over, when they resort to having ghosts come back. They could always take a cue from that other NBC drama powerhouse, "Passions", where it's resurrection day practically every Friday. No one ever really dies in Harmony. That must be reassuring for the folks who move there.

i loved the pic of Henry and Chad. i never got into watching ER. maybe i'll check to see if it's on netflix? but it sounds like i should stick with the early seasons. when we talk to our kids, we'll say things like, things were good back when dr. green was on er. you can't get good television like that anymore (roll eyes).
Dr. Lewis was the one who left and came back. Duh.
