Hi there, having trouble with email address again, not entirely sure if it's you or your cross-pollinator my account is turning it's delicate little nose up at....

So I'm going to be cheeky and put this in your comments section, feel free to delete it from your comments once you've stored it somehwere,

xx

Dear Maresi and Kami,

Kami blogs at http://infertilityadventure.blogspot.com/
Maresi blogs at http://more-rice-please.blogspot.com/

It's here, upon us.....

The cross pollination matches have been produced out of (a hat?, my ass?, randomly?), well regardless you're matched!

I've sent this email to both of you simultaneously, so you've both got each other's email address and URL.

So, what now?

It's really not that bad:

Touch base with your cross-pollinator, just so's you both know your email addy's work and there's no issue. Let me know if there is, and I'll rematch you somehow.

Compose a post, like you normally would (no need to go all fancy unless you really want to) for Nov 9th.

Email each other the code for the post ( if you can't figure out how to get the code, email the text from your normal blogging editor- try not to use microsoft word et al. if possible because it tends to goof things up. Don't ask me how I know that....bad, bad experience). Be nice and email it in advance of the date, to give your cross-pollinator time to post it on their blog.

On the 9th nov (yes this is a Sunday this year...if you don't get the post in time OR you're not able to post the Sunday, Monday is fine too) post the swapped post you've been emailed.

Make it clear in the title that it's a guest blogger/post to avoid confusion aplenty (I used something like 'a guest post brought to you by the great blog cross pollination' last year).

Post a hyperlink at the bottom to your cross-pollinators URL- this is where YOUR regular readers can find your post for the day. Obviously, label it 'click here' or something and not 'my crosspollinator is BLOGOBLOGSALOT.BLOGPLATFORM.COM. That makes item 3 rather less difficult.

For fun, ask people to guess in the comments section who they think the poster mught be, before they click on the link.

If you want to get all fancy add this link: http://missionimpossibleinfertile.wordpress.com/2008/10/07/without-further-ado/ somewhere in your post for the masterlist of participants and the bee-flower logo file that came attached with this email. But you don't have to get all fancy. Really.

Got it? The basic requirement is only that you swap posts with another blogger for one day. That's it. All you're doing above normal is emailing a post and receiving one back :)
Happy writing,

J

Obviously, you'll have to use each others comments sections to say hello and establish viable email addy's

:)

PS...and obviously since this isn't an email the links for the logo are dead, email me again and I can send it to you if you want.
