Here we are. My three-hundredth post!
I was saving this story for just such an occasion. On our drive home from our family visit to Timon's folks, the transmission on our station wagon went kaput. We were very very fortunate to already be rolling off the interstate to get gas when it died. We were also really lucky to be in an actual town, instead of the middle of nowhere - this small city has a regional airport, complete with several major car rental companies, whose services we used to rent a one-way car home. But how, one might ask, would we retrieve our car? Well, like this:

Timon drove the 280 miles back to our car on Monday, rented that nifty car trailer you see there, and towed the wagon back. I bit my nails all day long, but he, his van, the trailer, and our car arrived intact (well, the car's not exactly intact). What the next step is, we're still deciding. Fix it? Sell it? Fix it and sell it? Roll it off a bridge into the Gulf of Mexico? Hmmmm.
Tomorrow Henry and I fly away to see Nana and Papa! He's going to hang out with them and his cousins while I get a couple of days in NYC with my sister and cousins. Then I'll go back to my folks house and stay until next Wednesday. I'm so excited - apparently it's going to be C.O.L.D. cold and there's some SNOW!!! I'm beyond thrilled about seeing the white stuff. This Florida weather is nuts - on Monday, we had our A/C running. Tonight the low will be 34. V. strange. I'll try my best to post from CT - I'm sure Henry will have some antics I'll want to share with you all.
