to get me in the mood for my grecian journey, i just lit a "mediterranean fig" scented candle. because really, i've been sort of apathetic about going. not really excited. ehh.
ok, that's totally a lie! except for the candle part. and if the figs of the mediterranean smell as lovely as this candle, well, count me in. i'm SOOOOO excited! i have been doing laundry today (not sure that's what they had in mind giving me today off to honor MLK, Jr.) and i VERY neatly folded 3 shirts out of the dryer and lovingly placed them in a grecian pile. is it just me, or do you all take your very favorite clothes on a trip with you, too? i mean, down to the underwear? it's dumb, really. what if my bag gets lost? then ALL of my favorite clothing is gone! i guess i could call my MIL in Scottsboro and tell her to check Unclaimed Baggage for all my stuff.
oh, and the answers to the greek word quiz are: hello (to more than one person, or as a more formal greeting to an unknown person); goodbye; airport; and bathroom (i HOPE!).
tonight i'm making my best meatballs (waaaaay better than my worst meatballs) and strawberry shortcake for dinner. yum! aren't you all wishing you were here to eat it, to laugh at henry's antics with us, to watch the golden globes on tv, and to smell the mediterranean figs? what a night!

Thanky you for doing the Laundry and cooking dinner.
obviously, my husband's secretary didn't proof-read that comment... and a grecian pile is a pile of items associated with greece. duh.
and, you're welcome for dinner, honey.
sounds like a good night. i love meatballs. i was worried about losing my suitcase with my maternity clothes in them last year. but i didn't lose them. good. also, hate to lose the good stuff, but then, hate to travel with things you don't love. how will you travel without your guys? have a good trip... amy
