So I brought Henry to Dr. Lisa today for his 30 month check-up. He'd had a cold with a bad cough all this week, so it was nice to get him checked out without having to pay a separate co-pay. He had the normal assessments- he weighs 30 lbs and is 36" tall, both on the 50% percentile. But then Dr. Lisa listened to his lungs and felt his glands.
Dr Lisa: "Oh, his glands are quite swollen."
Me: "Really?"
Dr. Lisa: (as she's listening to his chest) "And he's really wheezy, too."
Me: "Oh, really?"
I can understand me missing the swollen glands. But how does a good mommy miss the fact that her kid is wheezing?!? And now he needs the breathing treatments we had to torture him with last Christmas.
There goes the Mother of the Year 2006 award.

the wheezy thing might have just been something that was so subtle, it was hard to detect. you're a great mum (i'm going for my english side today) and will be a great mother-in-law! :)
:):) Now you ARE a REAL mother!!!! You haven't forgotten Peter's broken foot, have you??? It happens to everyone!!! Is he on any medication? !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Be sure to take pictures if Henry has to use the mask again. He looked so cute and pitiful last year... not that I want him to be so miserable, of course!
