Well, I just couldn't let this day go by without posting about our weekend fun activity - trapping cats. Yes, that's right... Thursday morning we woke up to an overwhelming smell of cat pee. For those of you unfamiliar with the smell, just imagine the grossest smell possible, and turn it up about 3 more notches of grossness. That's it. So Timon looks through the back door, and lying on the ground in the sun are 4 kittens! Apparently they lived under the house in the crawl space. So after two long nights trying to get them out with tuna, Timon finally went to Animal Control, and got a trap. We got a kitten within minutes of setting the thing. We got the other 3 kittens shortly thereafter, and they spent the night in our dining room in a big cardboard box. These aren't sweet, cuddly kittens - they are hissing, scratching, trying-to-jump-4-feet-in-the-air-out-of-the-box kittens. So Timon set the trap again, with cat food this time, to catch their mother... Three times she ate the food out of the trap without setting it off. As Timon said, "Now it's getting personal!" Finally, Sunday morning we discovered her in the trap hissing and scratching away, and Animal Control has come to get the cats. For those of you who have cats and like them in your home, I have no judgement for you- but I really don't want cats, particularly wild ones, stinking up my house. I hope they'll calm down and be adopted into loving homes. So, to finish, I'd like to quote the legendary Bob Barker and say, "Have your pets spayed or neutered so they don't give birth under my house and make it smell." All right, so I made that last part up.

I'm glad it has worked out for you so far... cat pee is ALMOST the worst odor... right after cat feces! Trust me, that can be downright stinky!
On an unrelated note, the pictures of the boy are adorable... seems like he takes after a certain "a.m." (without the "m" so far, at least) :)
hi, I am lady b's cousin, that girl. I love the pics of your boy, very cute. I do have 2 cats but can understand your trouble. No one likes a hissing, mean cat. I am glad you were able to get it under control. Hopefully that won't be any more cats taking up residence at your home.
glad you caught those cats! can't they practice safe sex? and i just have to say i love those pictures of your son! also lovin' the pictures of your family of 3, too! what a great feeling to have such a good family to call your own!
